Hi Parents,

The Holiday Season is here and the children are all excited about this very special time. Here at school, we plan to have a party on Dec. 19th. We will have a couple of weeks to rest from school. I hope you could take this opportunity to share some learning time with your child. Reading or writing a story together will be very meaningful. I wish you all a Happy Holiday filled with fun family activities and good health.

Ms. Castro's 4th Grade will be working on:

Math - Decimals, Place value and Estimating Unit 4

Reading - Read every day for 20 minutes. Cause and Effect, Locate Information, Summarize, Decoding, Cause and Effect, Narrative Elements, Self Question, Figurative Language, and sentence structure.

Science - Gravity, Moon and Planets

Social Studies - European Explorers, 4 paragraph research paper. Taking notes and oral presentation. Make a Timeline.

Writing - Voice- Character description, character traits, story structure

Please do not forget to check your child's homework folder on a daily basis.

No Homework on Fridays.

Don't forget to return Thursday Folders on Friday.
