Hi parents,
I can't believe that we are already moving towards the 4th quarter/3d trimester. I am so thrilled to see the progress that the students have made in their English Language Development. I am no longer pulling individual students out because they have all progressed past the beginner level. I am working with students in small groups in conjunction with the classroom curriculum.
Currently, I am working with Ms. Carol Ann Stark, the Early Childhood Intervention Specialist and Ms. Betty Peralta the 2/3 Intervention Specialist, to implement guided reading/strategic intervention in all K-2 classrooms. We are modeling to the teachers how to differentiate reading instruction so that all students receive reading/intervention at their instructional level. The students are enjoying this very much and so are we!
