In language arts, we are beginning with a brand new series! The series has very interesting stories that will be very appealing to the fifth graders. Each Story has reading strategies to help students understand the stories. In addition, the series has grammar, spelling, and wrting components for every lesson. In math, we are reviewing place value, exponents, factors, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, estimation and family facts. In September and October, we will be working on Unit 1 Number Theory and Unit 2 Estimation and Computation in our Everyday Mathematics series. In Science, we are learning about the scientific method and science safety tips when performing experiments. In September and part of October we will be classifying plants and animals according to specific characteristics and specific habitats where the animals are found. | To view class documents or other files please click on the attachment link at the bottom of this page
