Elementary School Counselor

Pam Pelliccia

I am Pam Pelliccia, the elementary school counselor. This is my 9th year at Carol Morgan and my third year as the elementary school counselor.  Previously, I was the middle school counselor and am thrilled to be working with our youngest children at Carol Morgan. My husband, Thom is the high school counselor and our children, both Carol Morgan graduates, are enrolled in university in the United States.

I tend to spend the majority of my day in classrooms, on the playground, in the cafeteria--anywhere kids are.  I am available to staff and parents for consultation about emotional, behaviorial, academic and/or social concerns.  Conversations are kept in confidence.  Please feel free to contact me regarding questions, concerns or ideas.  My office is located on the 2nd floor of the elementary building room # 35.  You can contact me in my office at 809-947-1073, by calling the OLC secreatary, at 809-947-1071 or by e-mail at ppelliccia@cms.edu.do. If you would like to meet with me, I advise you to call ahead and schedule an appointment to guarantee that I am available for you.

I will be working with your children on a regular basis whether it is in class, during small group discussions and activities that support the Tribes Agreements of mutual respect, attentive listening, showing appreciations, and doing your personal best and/or individually when your child may need one on one help.  Whenever I conduct a classroom guidance activity I send home a notice entitled Counselor in the Classroom on purple paper in the Thursday folders describing the goals and activities of the intervention. I will also be offering parent workshops on a variety of topics throughout the year. I am looking forward to a rich and rewarding year.
